One of the things I love best about life in general and the creative fields in particular is learning something new. Whether it’s a new bit of software, a new painting technique, or a whole new industry I’ve never worked with before, I love anything that offers me an opportunity to embrace “beginner’s mind.” I get to be a novice at something, feel that rush of discovery, and see with fresh eyes. There’s nothing like it!
So I am particularly thrilled to be taking Lilla Rogers’ new e-course, Making Art That Sells. She’s an amazing artist, agent, and author (check out I Just Like to Make Things which was just published by Quarry Books).
In her new course, she’s going to teach us about making art for bolt fabric, home décor, picture books, wall art, gift, paper/stationery, baby/children’s apparel, scrapbooking, editorial, and party paper. Most of my experience has been with editorial, so I’m really excited about learning about making art for these additional markets.
If you’re looking to expand your horizons as an artist, check out Making Art That Sells. There are a limited number of seats available, so don’t miss out. Maybe I’ll see you there!
